A committee of parish men and women who meet as advisers to the pastor on financial planning for the parish. Finance council members are appointed by the pastor on the basis of their expertise.
Some of their responsibilities include:
- Helping with the preparation of the annual budget
- Monitoring financial reports and annual budget on a regular basis
- Assisting the pastor to present financial statements to the parish community
- Assisting in the implementation of acceptable internal control policies and procedures
